In Florida there are. It’s called the Small Business Development Center. It’s quite a wonderful resource for inventors where I live. You can go to them, they’ll counsel you on what you need to do business legally in Florida, for example, and direct you to people such as patent professionals who can help you protect your idea in that way or other ways of intellectual property protection.
